Identify Lorcana cards beyond the character name.
Use Scanner Dex to scan Disney Lorcana cards, review the suggested identity and estimated value, and organize your collection. Check the character version and printed details before comparing prices.
How do I identify a Disney Lorcana card?
Scan the card in the Scanner Dex iPhone app and check its full character name and version, set, collector number, language, rarity, and finish. A character match or shiny surface alone does not establish the exact version, an Enchanted treatment, or authenticity.
Free to download. Some scanning and advanced AI features require a subscription. See the in-app offer for current pricing, billing period, and trial eligibility.

How to scan a Lorcana card
- Use a clear photo of one card, keeping the title, artwork, collector details, and edges visible.
- Compare the scanner's result with the full printed name, including the character's version or subtitle where present.
- Check the set, collector number, language, and rarity against a card reference.
- Confirm whether your copy is non-foil, foil, or another treatment, then save the correct version in your collection.
The character is only part of the identity
Recognizing a familiar Disney character is not enough to identify a Lorcana card. Different versions can have different artwork, names, rules, and collector numbers. A result should match the specific card in your hand, not just its character.
Separate the identity check from the finish check. Similar artwork does not make a standard version and a special treatment interchangeable for pricing. If glare obscures the number or title, take another photo before relying on the match.
Standard, foil, and Enchanted comparisons
When looking up a Lorcana card's value, compare the same version, language, finish, and condition. Special treatments can need separate research from their standard counterparts. Do not label a card Enchanted merely because it is shiny.
Ravensburger's First Chapter Enchanted reveal describes alternate artwork and a distinct foil treatment for those cards. That release-specific example shows why treatment and printed details matter; it is not a universal number rule for every Lorcana release.
Track a Lorcana binder
Keep a record of your confirmed cards and quantities. Organize around a set, favorite characters, or cards available for trade. Recording a duplicate separately from a different version helps you see what you actually own.

Lorcana scanner questions
Does Scanner Dex provide an official Lorcana valuation?
No. Value information is an estimate or market reference. Actual sale prices depend on the exact card and transaction.
Can a scan confirm an Enchanted card?
A scan may suggest an identity, but you should verify the artwork, rarity, collector details, and physical treatment. The result does not prove authenticity.
Can I scan cards in the browser?
The camera scanner is in the iPhone app. The website provides information and collector guides.
