Trading-card collection tracker

Know which cards you own—and which versions.

Scanner Dex brings card scanning and collection tracking together on iPhone. Keep a clearer record of your Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, and Lorcana cards, with quantities and estimated collection value.

How do I track a trading-card collection?

Identify each exact printing, save it to a collection, record the quantity, and update the record when you trade or remove cards. Scanner Dex provides this workflow in its iPhone app. Estimated collection value depends on correct entries and is not an offer for the binder.

Start with an accurate card inventory

  1. Scan or look up a card in the app.
  2. Verify the exact set, collector number, language, and finish.
  3. Save the confirmed card in the relevant collection and record its quantity.
  4. Review the collection regularly when cards are added, traded, or removed.

A useful collection system

Choose categories that help you make decisions: a set you are completing, a favorite-character binder, or trade stock. Use consistent names so it is easy to locate cards later. A collection record should describe the physical copies you own, not just a list of card names.

For example, three copies of a card do not necessarily represent three identical holdings. If two are standard non-foil copies and one is a different printing or treatment, confirm the entries separately. Keep condition differences in mind before applying one price to every copy.

What does estimated collection value mean?

A collection estimate depends on the identities, quantities, and available value information attached to its cards. A wrong printing or an incorrect quantity can distort the total. Treat that number as a reference for reviewing the collection, not as a guaranteed offer for the entire binder.

To research a possible sale, compare actual condition and recent comparable transactions. Selling fees, shipping, currency, and the convenience of selling a whole collection may change what you receive. Recheck important cards rather than relying only on an aggregate total.

One collecting habit across several games

The details differ between games, but the inventory habit stays the same: identify precisely, record quantity, and keep the record current. Start with a small batch you can verify rather than assuming every scan is a perfect match.

Collection tracking questions

Can I manage my collection on this website?

Collection management is in the Scanner Dex iPhone app. This website explains the workflow and offers guides; it is not an online account or synced binder dashboard.

Does the total guarantee what my cards will sell for?

No. Estimated collection value is a reference. The actual amount depends on exact printings, condition, demand, and selling costs.

Is the app free?

The app is free to download. Some scanning and advanced AI features require a subscription. Check the current in-app offer for billing, price, and trial eligibility.
